Community Christmas Tree
Community Christmas Tree Modesto Celebrating its 40th Year!
The Community Christmas Tree Project is a gift-giving initiative for children in Modesto, open from Black Friday to December 18th. Sponsored by Soroptimist International of Modesto and Modesto Sunrise Rotary, in partnership with KHOP 95.1FM and Vintage Faire Mall, we aim to bring a "Magical Christmas Morning" to children in need.
Our Mission: Every child deserves to experience the joy of Christmas. Help us provide hope by selecting a child's gift tag from our Community Christmas Tree.
How It Works and How You Can Help:
- A tree and kiosk are set up at Vintage Faire Mall (upper level above Santa).
- Tags on the tree list a child's name, age, clothing/shoe sizes, and a Christmas wish.
- Select a tag, shop for the child, and return the unwrapped gift to our kiosk.
- The gifts are distributed by local schools and social service agencies.
Over 2,000 children, from birth to 17 years old, will receive gifts through this program—often the only gifts they will get. The gifts range from warm clothing and shoes to blankets to toys.
Participating Stores within Vintage Faire are also offering special discounts for items purchased for these children. Also, some Vintage Faire restaurants are offering special discounts for supporting the Community Christmas Tree! Stores included:
- Build-a-Bear
- Cotton On
- Cotton On Kids
- Cotton On Body
- Dick's Sporting Goods
- Sports Station
- Vans
- Flip Flop Shops
- Icing
- Claire's
- JCPenney
Hours: 10 AM to 8 PM daily at the kiosk. For more info, visit our website at communitychristmastreemodesto.com or follow us on Facebook and Instagram @cct4kids.
Help us bring a little magic to a child’s Christmas!
